Stokoe Administration

Francine Ramirez

Greetings Stokoe Families,

My name is Francine Ramirez. I am thrilled and honored to serve as the Principal of Stokoe Elementary.  I have been part of the Alvord family for my entire life and have served the community in a variety of roles.  I am proud to be a “Starpilot ”  and am grateful for the opportunity to serve and work with the students, families, staff and community of Stokoe Elementary.

In alignment with our district vision--EVERY CHILD BY NAME--we at Stokoe are dedicated to connecting with our community, building relationships with our community and promoting the emotional and academic needs of every student. We have high expectations for our students and are committed to doing whatever it takes to support learning and achievement. We have established a culture focused on high quality instruction, learning, collaboration, character development and college-readiness. There are many things that set Stokoe Elementary apart from other schools.  Beginning in 2024, we will be partnering with Norco College and will be a demonstration school to support future educators as they begin their career in early childhood education.   We are thrilled to be one of the first Alvord schools to offer an Alvord Preschool program which opened in August of this year.  .   We are also an AVID school and are committed to preparing students for the college and career pathway by instilling study habit skills, organization and time management skills.   We have a STEAM focus and put extra emphasis on including STEAM elements in our daily lessons to support students in developing an interest in STEAM fields and professions.  Our campus has an Art Museum, and our students have opportunities to engage in art lessons, music and choir.  Our staff and students work hard to build a healthy school environment through physical activity and healthy choices.   Last year, Stokoe was selected as a HERO school.  The HERO program was sponsored by the Riverside  Medical Clinic Charitable Foundation (RMCCF) and enhanced our bullying prevention programs by teaching students to spread kindness and empathy.  Although we are not an official HERO school this year, our students will continue to have the opportunity to participate in extra-curricular activities to promote kindness!   We are proud of our unique program options and committed to propelling our students into the 21st Century!”  We believe in the potential of all students and value the contributions of parents, families and the community.

Danielle Romain

Hello Stokoe Family!

My name is Danielle Romain and I am thrilled to be the new Assistant Principal at Stokoe.

I have been in the field of education right here in Alvord for over 20 years. I have had the opportunity to teach both primary and upper grades in the elementary setting and most recently had the privilege of being the literacy teacher at Stokoe. I am honored and excited to continue here as part of the administrative team.

I cherish the relationships that I have built with the students, staff, and community of Stokoe. As your assistant principal, I will continue to support all of our students so that they can thrive academically, socially and emotionally. As a lifelong learner, it is my hope that I will inspire our students to reach for the stars!

I hope to see all of you soon when we come back in August. Should you have any questions or concerns throughout the year, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I can be reached by calling 951-358-1640 or emailing danielle.romain@alvordschools.org. I look forward to partnering with you!

With Starpilot Pride,
